| RocketRAID 4320/RAID 10 user report on 2.0.4 Beta drivers (still seeing KP's) |
| Although a post yesterday from a RocketRAID 3522 card/RAID5/Snow Leopard user said v2.04 Beta drivers seemed to have solved his problems, a RR4320/RAID10 user wrote he's still seeing Kernel Panics:
"RocketRAID 4320 on Snow Leopard using 2.0.4 beta drivers
I'm using a RocketRAID 4320 on a Nehalem (2009) Mac Pro, with the MaxConnect back-plane attachment (the one that lets you connect 4 SATA drives via a mini-SAS cable to a PCI RAID controller). However, even with 2.0.4 (beta) drivers, I see Kernel Panics regularly under Snow Leopard.
In Leopard the same card still hangs the system, but only every few days. In Snow Leopard, the panics occur within hours.
(I asked what type of RAID array he was using)
I'm using RAID-10.
