New (revised) Airport Extreme and Time Capsules
I didn't notice it earlier this week but apparently on Tuesday Apple also (quietly w/o any PR) updated the Airport Extreme and Time Capsule bases. Apple store product page for AE base for instance has an "updated" icon over the "Simultaneous dual-band Wi-Fi" info as does the AE base features page:

"Even faster performance. (NEW)
Based on the IEEE 802.11n specification, AirPort Extreme uses a technology called multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) to transmit multiple data streams simultaneously. The result? AirPort Extreme delivers data transfer speeds up to five times those of 802.11g wireless networks - while achieving up to twice the range. (1) And improvements in antenna design give you up to 50 percent better Wi-Fi performance and up to 25 percent better range than with the previous-generation AirPort Extreme Base Station.(2)"

I'd almost forgotten about it earlier but a reader last week mentioned that Fry's had stopped selling the AE bases (at a local store and online) and many stores were out of stock, which brought up the question of a new model coming soon.
Rumors say the new bases have 3x3 (radios/antennas) vs 2x2 in the previous model. (MiMo isn't new, even many adapters use MiMo for some time now - some mac notebooks in the past used Atheros based N cards with 3 antennas IIRC, although the more commonly used Broadcom N card in most Macs has only 2.)
[Update - Despite this Oct. 20th article on 3x3 in the new bases that's not true per this new model teardown showing it has only 2 antennas per radio (2x2). A new board (with 128MB vs 64MB ram) but still 2x2 like the previous model]
The other question is now that 802.11n was ratified (no longer draft) a couple months ago if it has non-draft N/updated firmware. (No new updates to the previous Simul Dual-Band AE N base since 7.4.2 some months back.) [I wrote the reader with a new AE base to ask about the firmware version in it - he replied v7.5.]

(BTW - I'm sure owners of failed 1st gen TC's are also wondering if there's any PS/caps improvements in new models.)

Photos of new 21.5in iMac internals
Yesterday's news had a link to ifixit's 27in (C2D) iMac teardown, here's one on the 21.5in model:
