| Any Alum iMac (w/ATI 2600 graphics) owners running Call of Duty 4? |
Looking for feedback on performance of Mac Call of Duty 4 on say a 2.4GHz Alum iMac w/ATI 2600HD graphics. If you are, let me know what you think of overall performance and the resolution/detail settings you're using. Thanks.
(Just curious if it's very playable/smooth at medium res/settings for instance on an AL iMac w/2600 graphics. I think you can enable framerate display during play by enabling the console in options then open console (~ tilde key) and enter "\cg_drawFPS 1" w/o quotes. Zero is off/default.) |

| FYI on new MacBook Pro GPU switching with multiple users logged in |
| FYI from a reader mail for anyone with multiple users on a new MacBook Pro (although most are single user/acct I suspect):
"
Subject: MacBook Pro switching GPU with logged in (multiple) users forces restart.
(With a single user logged in a logout/relogin is required when changing GPU used - apple says are are prompted to save files.)
If more than one person is logged in on a new (Late 2008) MacBook Pro and would like to change the GPU, it forces you to RESTART the machine.
That's not too problematic, but after all it would be alot better to actually tell the user the reason why it won't work, so he could just log out the other user and save his/her work first. If you don't do so, the restart forces you to type in an administrators user/pass and log out the other users without saving their work. Please spread the news about this - I guess Apple should change this ASAP. Greetings from Germany -Takeo
