Quicktime Update for new MacBook/Pro/Air systems (enable iTunes SD playback on ext. non-HDCP displays)
Missed this yesterday but reportedly software update run on a new MacBook/Pro/Air shows a QT 7.5.7 update that allows iTunes SD content to be played on an external display that's not HDCP compliant. (ref: previous post on New MacBook/Pros ext. display playback of protected media requires HDCP compliant display)

"This update is recommended for owners of MacBook, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro with Mini DisplayPort. The update addresses an issue where some standard definition purchases from the iTunes Store do not play on some external displays."

There's also new pricing on our On-the-Go portable FW/USB 2.0 drives.

BTW - I've used a ministack v3 as my primary backup/time machine drive (for AL iMac via FW800) since last December. (The FW and USB hubs have really come in handy.) I just bought a new (3 platter) WD 1TB GP (32MB cache) ($107.75) drive to swap in it. (Cooler running and should be faster than the 1TB hitachi I have in there now.)

PowerMac G5 Coolant Leaks/Repairs page updated
I've added 2 more reports to the PowerMac G5 Coolant Leaks/Repairs page, both getting $1000+ repairs done at no cost (although one reader was told he had to pay labor charges). The other report includes a list of questions he was asked by support.
(The page includes reminders to check for leaks frequently, tips, photos of the two LCS designs, notes on some reader's DIY repairs, reports on some readers getting out-of-warranty repairs covered and more.)
