MacBook, MacBook Pro Trackpad Firmware Update 1.0 (for late 2008 models)
I don't own one of these personally but spotted this at Apple's site tonight - said to fix the trackpad clicks not recognized problem Unibody MB/MBP owners have reported previously:
"MacBook, MacBook Pro Trackpad Firmware Update 1.0
This firmware update addresses an issue where trackpad clicks may not be recognized on MacBook (Late 2008) and MacBook Pro (Late 2008) systems. The update package will install an updater application into the Applications/Utilities folder and will launch it automatically. Follow the instructions in the updater application to complete the update process. For more information about this update, please see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3288
("About the MacBook, MacBook Pro Trackpad Firmware Update 1.0")

Apple also has a new doc on (late 2008) MacBook/MacBook Pro: Recovering from an interrupted trackpad firmware update.

Quicktime H.264 Compatibility Update (for QT 7.5.5)
Matthew sent a heads-up on this appearing in software update. Here's the info from the software update window:
"Quicktime H.264 Compatibility Update
This update improves QuickTime compatibility with iChat.
(For Mac OS X 10.5.5 Leopard users with QuickTime 7.5.5 only)"

I also found a related Apple support doc today titled iChat and Photo Booth may unexpectedly quit with Quicktime 7.5.5 installed that refers to this H.264 update as a fix. (Apple now has a download page for the (H.264) Compatibility Update for QuickTime 7.5.5.)

Mac Pro owner notes on updating DVD Burner firmware via Fusion 2.0.1/Windows
(from one of today's drive upgrades/compat. database reports)

...It has been hard for mac users to upgrade firmware for DVD writers. I have had to use a windows machine or a Mac with Bootcamp with windows XP. I tried using parallels Desktop v3 but it did not work (it said target machine not found).
(Reader FYI: Although not as easy as using the standard PC updaters, for several years the FAQ's DVD section has had info/links on OS X flashers for Pioneer drives (DVR_Flash for OS X - you can use stuffit Expander (v8 and later) to uncompress the PC exe pioneer updater downloads to get the firmware files or use the terminal tip from the July 20th, 2005 news page) and OS X compatible flashers for -some- NEC and -some- Plextor drives). For PPC Mac owners, VirtualPC also has been noted to work in the past IF using a USB adapter (some used USB adapters like NT's Universal drive adapter), although VPC will not update onboard IDE or FW connected drives.-Mike)

However I just tried VMware Fusion 2.01 and it works very well. I was able to use my MacPro dual 2.66GHz ( OS X 10.5 ) with VMware fusion 2.01 and was able to upgrade to newer firmware for my Pioneer DVR-115D to firmware 1.22 and LG (DVD burner + DVD-RAM) H55N to firmware 1.06 (they are in the two bays on the MacPro.)
I was also able to upgrade an External Pioneer DVD Writer DVR-112D to firmware 1.28 using USB.
VMware Fusion only sees one cd drive so you have to choose each drive separately. You have to select the external drive by choosing USB in the menu.
-Robert"

More Safari 3.2 update problems (especially from OS X Tiger users)
Over the weekend I've gotten many more mails on Safari 3.2 update problems (especially from OS X 10.4.11/Tiger users - including more prebinding failures (-debug option shows libxml2 related ) and several restoring/reinstalling OS X tiger) - too many to post here but there's many threads on the subject in Apple's Safari forums.
