Reader FYI on Parallels Desktop 4.0 Upgrade problems
I don't own Parallels but here's a mail from a reader on problems seen with the 4.0 upgrade released yesterday:

" Subject: Parallels 4.0 conversion WARNING
Better start warning your readers that Parallels 4.0 upgrade/conversion process is badly broken. Lots of posts on the Parallels forums. In my case, my entire WinXP VM simply vanished during the upgrade. I'll be loading from a TimeMachine backup when I get home, but warn your readers...
(I asked Ken if they had an upgrade guide with recommendations/tips to follow. I spotted one thread in Parallels Desktop Mac OS forums noting he upgraded without any major problems, but some others had much worse luck.-Mike)
The upgrade info is woefully inadequate in describing how to recover, but they do appear to be trying to help in the threads. For example, they have posted a link to v3.0 download so that people can revert (the v4.0 installer deletes the v3.0 installation). Bottom line is make sure you do a backup of the VM first!!! (I did, so I'm not too worried at the moment, since I can revert to 3.0)
    -Ken S."

I welcome other feedback from Parallels v4 users (either upgrade or new installs). Let me know the details (Mac/OS X and Windows version used used, etc.) and if you've seen any problems (or not) - including any tips for upgraders you'd suggest they follow.
Update: - I've created a separate page now with Parallels 4.0 Upgrade reports and Tips, including a long post w/suggestions from those that have upgraded successfully.

Latest feedback on early Core Duo MacBook Pro 802.11N wireless card swaps
I've added two recent reports from Core Duo (2006) MacBook Pro owners noting disappointing 802.11G mode performance (worse than with original G card - one also mentions Bootcamp/Win XP SP3 notes) to the previous page on Mac user reports on 802.11n adapters, Bases/Routers. Since 5GHz (N only) mode performance was good, one reader decided to bridge his 802.11N base to his older 802.11G router as a workaround. (Page includes links to the Feb. 2007 article/guide to swapping in a Mac Pro N card into early MacBook Pros.)

G5 Tower Coolant Leaks/Repairs page updated (3 more reports)
I've added 3 more reports on leaks/damage to the page PowerMac G5 Coolant Leaks/Repairs, including another report on repairs being covered out of warranty. The others have yet to report back after talking with Apple but hopefully they will have similar luck.
(The page includes reminders to check for leaks frequently, photos of the two LCS designs, notes on some reader's DIY repairs, many other reports on leak repairs covered or Mac Pro replacement systems. Again kudos to Apple for doing this - saving G5 tower owners with leak damage thousands of dollars in repairs or system replacement costs.)
