Mac Mini Core 2 Duo CPU Upgrades (chip swaps) page updated
I've updated the page on Mac Mini Core 2 Duo CPU Upgrades with a reader's notes on his 2GHz C2D T7200 CPU upgrade ($114 from ebay) to his (bought used) Mac Mini core solo. (There's rumors of a new Mini being announced at MWSF, hopefully they retain the socketed CPU.)

Parallels Desktop 4.0 for Mac
(FYI - a reader Wednesday sent a warning on major problems some have had with upgrading Parallels to v4.0. See Parallels' Forum on Desktop for Mac OS for posts/threads. I've also posted a page with Parallels Desktop 4.0 Mac user reports and tips - with notes/suggestions from those that successfully upgraded.) Parallels has announced Desktop 4.0 for Mac with claimed 50% increase in windows performance, expanded DirectX 9 and OpenGL 2.0 support, improved battery runtime for notebook users and more. V3.0 users can upgrade for 50% off the $79.99 list price until Nov. 30th. (Free upgrade if you bought Parallels 3 after Sept. 1st, 2008.) They also have a 15-day trial version.
