Apple's web site has a banner on the event linking to http://www.apple.com/retail/ although I didn't see any specific sale items mentioned there this morning.

" After a good number of years, the backlights stopped working in my 23 inch Apple Cinema Display, and of course, it is out of warranty. Where could a find a place locally that was fast, reliable, and was willing to do the job?
I found such a place near where I work, but they also do mail-in repairs from all over the US and even Europe. They offer a flat price repair costs, even for Apple products. To replace the inverter board and four backlights in the 23 inch Cinema Display was $229. Non-Apple displays are a little cheaper, I think. I was able to drop it off and pick it up two days later.
