LED 24in Cinema Display reports page updated (new Mac Pro/ATI 4870 owner)
I've updated the previous page of Apple LED 24in Cinema Display User Feedback/Notes with comments from a new Mac Pro (w/ATI 4870 card) on using the display with it. (Includes some notes on color shift, as well as geekbench scores from his dual 2.26GHz system. Updated to include comments on the built-in iSight and Mic.)

New Mac Pro Graphics Cards (ATI 4870, Nvidia GT120) in Older Mac Pros
I missed this Friday but OWC has posted a blog page on New Mac Pro Graphics Cards in Older Mac Pros with notes on 4870 and GT120 tests in 2008 and 2007/2006 Mac Pros. Despite Apple listing the Nvidia GT120 card as requiring a 2009 Mac Pro, they said it worked fine in a 2008 (PCIe 2.0) model. (Although neither worked in a 2006/7 PCIe 1.0 Mac Pro they said. I'd hoped the ATI 4870 would, despite Apple's comments.) And I suspect that OS X 10.5.7 will have driver updates to add support for the 4870's displayport when used in 2008 Mac Pros, since Apple lists the card as compatible with them.
As mentioned in the March 4th news page, the online apple store has the 4870 card kit for $349 and the GT120 card kit for $149.

More Airport Extreme/TC Base Firmware 7.4.1 update reports
I've updated the page on AE/TC Base Firmware 7.4.1 update with a few more (problem) reports from over the weekend. (Many that had problems w/7.4.1 have reverted back to the previous firmware - if anyone sees a repeat of problems after doing that let me know.) I saw problems twice in the first week of using the new firmware, but haven't since then.
(I've also had more mails from owners of new simul. dual-band AE bases/Time Capsules and will post those on a separate page later.)
