| PowerMac G5 Coolant Leak/Repairs page updated |
I've updated the PowerMac G5 Coolant Leaks/Repairs page again. Finally catching up on (many) mails on this subject since the last update from Feb 10th. (And I still need to split that page up as it's almost 350KB now.)
The free repairs many have noted here in the past (since posting that page in Aug 2007) may be a thing of the past now. And nothing is a sure thing (especially for those outside the US). As I've said for years, I wish Apple would publicly post a uniform policy on these repairs or at least issue a bulletin to their employees for a consistent response. People keep asking me for suggestions, contact numbers etc. but I don't have anything to add that I haven't already noted (in bold/red) on that page for years now. I wish I had an Apple contact for this but I don't, sorry.
(The (very long) page also has some past reports on owner repairs, etc. although unfortunately often major damage was done before the leak was detected.)
