OWC offering eSATA mod for new 27in iMacs
(Update - OWC has now posted a page that eSATA on the new 27in iMac is a reality and an order/upgrade options page for the eSATA Mod service as well as other upgrades (SSD, etc).)
As a follow-up to posts earlier this week on the new 27in iMac's HD + SSD Option, OWC has a blog page with a poll to gauge interest (and at what price) for an eSATA mod service. See their "eSATA on an iMac?" page to vote/see current poll results.

MacBook Pro GPU Failures/Repairs/Tips page updated
I've added 4 more reports to the page on MacBook Pro (Nvidia 8600M) GPU Failures/Repairs including one on a repeat failure (hopefully just a random failure), and two reports on repairs refused (one due to evidence of a liquid spill, the other refused due to previous 3rd party repair). And another case where the MBP would not boot and therefore can't have the external drive "Qualification" test run. (I've included another reminder/link to the earlier 'warm-up' tip for that - doesn't always work of course but has helped at least one other reader in the past with that problem.)
