| Charismac to show Discribe 4.0 at MWSF: |
| Charismac has a press release noting they will be demonstrating version 4.0 of their Discribe CDRW software at Macworld San Francisco next week (booth #4127). Version 4.0 is said to have a new interface, drag and drop MP3 support and include version 2.0 of their AudioScribe utility for transferring audio from Vinyl, Tape, or voice. If you're at the show, stop by their booth for a free evaluation CD.

| Reader Driver Tip for OS 9 and Twin Turbo Graphics Card: |
| A reader sent a tip that may help Twin Turbo owners running OS 9 with a G4 system:

The latest (and final) IXMicro Twin Turbo 128 driver 4.0.6
is unstable and buggy under Mac OS 9.0.4 on a Dual 500 G4
tower system. Use custom install option on the mac OS 9.0.4
install CD to install the Apple 9600 accelerated video driver
instead.

| The Drive Compatibility searchable database had 25 new entries added (current total 2,377). Entries from after midnight are added the following day. Note: I've added "Firewire to SCSI Adapter" as an interface type. I welcome reports on drives used with adapters. (Please note the adapter brand/model and if the drive was bootable in your comments.)
