iTunes 9.1.1 Update released
Released today - apple's support/download pages' actual download link goes to the usual www.apple.com/itunes/download, but here's the info from their support page: "iTunes 9.1.1 provides a number of important bug fixes, including: Addresses several stability issues with VoiceOver Addresses a usability issue with VoiceOver and Genius Mixes Addresses issues with converting songs to 128 kbps AAC while syncing Addresses other issues that improve stability and performance System Requirements: OS 10.4.11 or later, Win XP SP2, Vista/Windows 7 32/64bit" FYI - see Wednesday's news for a reader post on iTunes 9.1.1 bug w/128K re-encode option (repeated sync/recoding).

OT: FYI on WD TV Live/Asus O!Play Playback of 1080/60P Files from Panasonic TM700
There's a page here of Feedback on WD TV Live and Asus O!Play media players and I've had some recent questions if either of these players could playback the 1080/60P files (spec'd at 28Mbps VBR and progressive, not interlaced) from the new Panasonic HDC-TM700 Camcorder. (That's the flash 32GB memory model - there's also one with a Hard Drive.) Quick tests show the WD TV Live (firmware 1.02.21) played the files back fine - no apparent stuttering, appeared very smooth, etc. (appx 5min test clip). However playback on the O!Play Air (firmware 1.12) using SD card from the camcorder in the Air's card slot didn't fare as well - clearly not full framerate. (I don't think the class 6 SD card was a factor but will try playback of the files from a hard drive this weekend.) And of course the AppleTV can't handle these files, unless converted/downsized.
