Movie Playback Performance

I played several Quicktime and Mpeg movie samples at up to full screen resolution (1024x768) and was impressed with both the image quality and speed. The 3D Overdrive CDROM had several 3D "fly-bys" of Village Tronic products and they looked great and were very detailed (you could even read the part numbers on the RAM chips of the video cards).
I'd took several screenshots of the movies (using Command +shift+4 to select the movieplayer window only) but the saved files always had a solid red fill, which according to feedback I've gotten this is normal for any accelerated MPEG playback card - a framebuffer issue. Playback looked great - wish you could have seen it.
Due to the good performance and image quality (even in MPEG) I rated movie playback a 9.
